This guide will show you how to connect your end device switchboard with your existed account to our new platform “newsip.israelnumber.com”.
The registration on the new platform either works by IP (allowing it in IP Settings configurations), or by configuring a SIP device (extension) as a Gateway in your system.
How to call by IP:
This is an easier way to establish a connection between your end device and our platform but considered less secure as it is not sending a registration string with the user/password details, and counts/relies on IP only.
1-The format of calls (INVITE) should be sent as DIALEDNUMBER@newsip.israelnumber.com (this is referring to the “to” part of the INVITE)
2- Ensure your IP is whitelisted in your new account (please contact support@israelnumber.com if this option is not enabled already).
How to call using SIP device details:
This method has been tested on FreePBX only and we cannot guarantee it will work on any other system. With that, we do not foresee any problem installing it on other SIP-based platforms.
Sample SIP device details (for dialing ITC IVR only):
Username: 7199199656
Password: *d4rwqB5
ConnectUs2032.newsip.israelnumber.com
Outgoing Trunk settings (on the FreePBX) should be set as follow:
username=7199199656
type=peer
secret=*d4rwqB5
qualify=yes
port=5060
host=ConnectUs2032.newsip.israelnumber.com
fromdomain=ConnectUs2032.newsip.israelnumber.com
dtmfmode=rfc2833
dtmf=rfc2833
allow=all
Register String:
7199199656:*d4rwqB5@ConnectUs2032.newsip.israelnumber.com/7199199656
Please note:
Register String is mandatory, and the system will not allow calls without it.
Same for “fromdomain”. The system expects to receive calls from the user’s SIP device, which means his domain as well.
this is why we are using this command here, to ensure the INVITE of “from” will look as callernumber@test123.newsip.israelnumber.com, and not as a callernumber@useripaddress (which is actually how it works when working on the first option, authentication via IP)
